12 Insta-outfit ideas to steal

1st June, 2017

A brand new month calls for some fresh new outfit inspo! If your wardrobe is leaving you feeling less than inspired let some of the most sartorially blessed ladies of Instagram spark an ensemble idea or two. You’ll be well on your way to styling up a storm.

Heading out for drinks but want to wear something a little different? Try a pair of wide leg jeans worked back with a tee and leather jacket. Pair with killer heels and you’re set.

Give a classic outfit combination such as denim and a button down shirt a slightly more modern spin by pairing with distressed jeans. Also, Franklin is a case study on how to turn a scarf into a statement accessory.

A white longline blazer is the versatile piece that your wardrobe needs. Whether you choose to wear it with jeans or a simple dress it just works.

A dressy combination of a lightweight knit and cropped trousers is given a more casual treatment by pairing it with black Vans sneakers. It’s a perfect off-duty look that can easily be dressed up by switching into a pair of heels.

Adopt a classic pinstripe shirt but give it a more on trend spin by opting for an interesting neckline. When paired with neutral flats and jeans it allows the shirt to act as a feature point.

Dare to pair different shades of leather in the one look. To keep it looking cohesive just ensure the rest of the outfit uses the same shades as one leather item and let the other one act as a pop of colour.

The off-the-shoulder top is ubiquitous so for something different but still in a similar family to this décolletage-baring look why not opt for a one shoulder top instead? It seems fresh and interesting and works beautifully with a pair of cropped pants and strappy stilettos.

Allow your pants to take centre stage. Case in point: a pair of cropped palazzo pants in a bold colour works well with a plain black top and adorable pointed flats and makes a striking statement.

Experiment with a high-low mix and wear a super dressy piece and pair with an off-duty staple such as a leather jacket. A satin maxi dress looks less red carpet and more dinner-appropriate when a jacket is thrown ever so nonchalantly over it. (Or you could just rock a polka dot monochrome dress a la Minnie!)

Give your black blazer the day off and try it in a tweed incarnation instead. You’ll still look polished but also stand out in a crowd.

An oversized knit is a must during cooler weather but inject a bit of energy into a neutral sweater by teaming it with an animal print.

Striped cropped pants looks edgy yet polished when paired with a white blouse and sandals in a vibrant shade. A simple boho inspired bag gives this look an effortless feel.
