How many times have you ever done something for yourself or someone ‘just because’? We all often wait for big milestones such as birthdays and anniversaries to spoil the people we love but I think there’s no time like the present to make someone feel special and this is why I was so thrilled to team up with Jo Malone London to host an intimate ‘Just Because’ dinner last night.
I invited 20 of my close family and friends to a dinner at a beautiful residence in Sydney’s Vaucluse to simply enjoy each other’s company. The guest list was a mixture of people close to me such as friends I’ve made throughout my career and personal life, but also family such as my brother and sister-in-law, and of course, my husband, Luke.
There was a lovely table set for dinner (including a gorgeous floral centrepiece which defied belief) and we had a delicious British-inspired meal as an homage to Jo Malone London’s British roots.
The best part of the evening was being able to give personalised Jo Malone London ‘just because’ gifts to all my guests. I had a lot of fun choosing presents for everyone. It ranged from a pamper kit that some of my friends who are mums could use for a little time out, to a special travel kit for my friend Anna Heinrich who is always jet setting and a relaxation kit for Anthony Minichiello who has always played sport and now enjoys the time he gets to relax.
It was a fun night as I was able to spend time with my family and friends ‘just because’. Hopefully you can find a reason to spoil someone you love today (or even yourself!) without needing a reason whatsoever.
