What I Wore: White on White

5th April, 2017

I’ve always been a fan of a head-to-toe white ensemble – it’s chic and elegant and really makes quite an impactful style statement. I don’t often wear suits but I couldn’t resist this ensemble. Double breasted jackets have experienced a resurgence of late but in a more modern incarnation – the boxy cuts are gone and in its place is a more streamlined silhouette which makes for a more flattering fit. I love that this jacket is also really versatile and can work easily with the rest of my wardrobe whether thrown over a dress or teamed with jeans. If there’s one thing that goes beautifully with a crisp white outfit it’s gold accessories. In this instance I’ve opted for gilded statement earrings to complement my look. With the addition of a neutral oversized clutch and simple black heels I’m ready to conquer the day ahead.

What I Wore: Green Day

24th February, 2017

Olive green is such a gorgeous colour that I think I definitely need to incorporate into my wardrobe a bit more, I don’t wear it nearly enough It’s certainly one of the things that drew me to this Rebecca Vallance dress.. I also love the military inspired style as it can still look quite dressy but with a change of footwear it can easily be taken down a notch and become a more casual look. In this instance I wanted the outfit to look quite polished so I teamed the dress with my black Alaia heels and my Gucci Dionysus bag (find similar here) to keep my accessories quite neutral but with the finishing touches such as the applique on my bag it keeps the look from looking too pedestrian. My Dita cat-eye sunglasses inject a little attitude to an otherwise quite streamlined look.

What I Wore: Light and Breezy

14th December, 2016

It’s the season for lightweight, breezy summer dressing and this Scanlan Theodore maxi dress is perfect for warm, balmy days. Blue and white has always been synonymous with this time of year for me as it looks so fresh. I love the strapless neckline and the oversized bow at the back which gives a touch of sweetness without being too saccharine. I paired it with my metallic Witchery sandals to give the look a little bit of edge and kept it quite paired back with minimalist accessories in a neutral colour palette such as my Loewe bag to really allow the dress to take centre stage. I can see myself definitely wearing this in the months ahead as I take advantage of the sunshine.
