My Top Picks: Valentine’s Day Gifts

7th February, 2017

I’ve selected some gifts which will take your love to the next level this Valentine’s Day!  Send these helpful hinters to your other half or why not just simply spoil yourself with something special?

Marco de Vincenzo heels

These flamingo-pink velvet heels will attract a lot of street-style attention! Perfect for date night paired with a midi dress or trousers. Made in Italy by Marco de Vincenzo, they wont disappoint.

Gucci Marmot bag

Nothing quite says love like Gucci’s famed Marmont style. The red quilted-leather cross-body bag is a weekend-ready size or can add a punch of colour to daytime outfits.

Aquazzura heels

I’ve been a longtime fan of Aquazzura’s Wild Thing suede sandals. I own a black pair but this striking lipstick-red hue is hard to turn down. The high stiletto heel makes for a flattering way to add a little height to your look.

Gucci pouch

Gucci’s signature tonal-beige GG Supreme canvas pouch is a wise investment piece. The red crystal and blush-pink beaded embellishment results in a perfect retro inspired addition.

Stella McCartney keyring

You can have a little bit of fun with a Valentine’s Day gift and this Stella McCartnery keyring fits the bill. The faux fur edge adds a bit of cheer to your handbag or keys.

Love Italy Cookbook

I love a book which I can leave on the coffee table or add on to my collection on the kitchen shelf. Love Italy is a must-have for any lover of Italian food and culture.

Jennifer Meyer ring

New jewelry additions are a popular choice of mine for Valentine’s Day. If I see something I really like, I will leave helpful hints around for Luke! I love this dainty ring and the love heart is perfect for Valentine’s Day.

Simone Rocha mistmatched earrings

One of the big trends of the season is mismatched earrings. I love this styling trick when I am looking to mix things up a little bit.

Jo Malone candle

I always like to have a candle burning at home and so I often stock up throughout the year. Jo Malone have always been one of my go-to favourites.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

2nd May, 2016

Mother’s Day is the perfect time to spoil Mum. Here are some of my favourite gift options to treat her this year.

Simple, elegant and personalised-what more could Mum want? In fact it’s so good you may even want to pick up a necklace  for yourself!

Sleepy Jones’ ‘Marina’ Pyjama shirt makes catching some shut-eye all the more chic. The classic red and off-white tent stripes and neat French seams add a special touch.

For the mum who loves her accessories to make a statement look no further than Victoria Beckham’s ‘Supra Kitten’ sunglasses. The marbled frames give it a modern touch and the cat-eye style is particularly flattering on round face shapes.

This pouch is perfect for off-duty days or carrying to the beach. Saint Laurent’s pouch is crafted from hard-wearing cotton-canvas and is also quite roomy so it will easily fit any essentials.

A cup of tea is made all the more enjoyable with this gorgeous porcelain teapot which is perfect for celebrating and entertaining in style. It’s even adorned with 24-carat gold which makes it all the more luxe.

A lovely — not to mention roomy — tote is always a wardrobe essential. This charcoal tote from Witchery is perfect for winter with its felt finish.

If you’re after a gift that will last the test of time you can’t go wrong with a pair of pearl studs which will forever be in style.

Jo Malone captures the essence of autumn with the smell of just-ripe pears and white freesias with amber, patchouli and woods. This is my favourite scent and one that I always have in my handbag with me.

If your mum is a jetsetter the Luxe City Guide box set comes with easy-to-use travel guides about Hanoi, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok or Tokyo. A must for any ardent traveller.

As a mum, I can speak from personal experience that a caffeine fix is an essential on those super-hectic-I’ve-barely-slept-a-wink days. A Nespresso machine is great to have in the kitchen as it’s almost like having your very own barista at home.

Valentine’s Day Gifts for Him

12th February, 2016

Are you on the hunt for a great Valentine’s Day gift for the man in your life? If you want to go a step above your usual V-Day card option, here are some presents that will definitely spoil him.

Lanvin tie

A knitted silk tie is the ideal gift for the fashion forward guy. It’s slightly more relaxed feel but the burgundy colour keeps it classy.

Hugo Boss cufflinks

A man can never have too many cufflinks – especially when they’re a classic style such as this pair by Hugo Boss.

Montblanc pen

There are times when a good ol’ Bic just won’t do. This pen is handcrafted, platinum-plated and would look quite impressive sitting on anyone’s desk.

Le Gramme cuff

A sleek and simple accessory… and the best bit it is you can borrow it too.

Armani Code cologne

A warm and sexy fragrance that’s guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

Marwood mesh bow tie

For the dapper gentleman a bow tie is the ideal finishing touch to an outfit for a night out.

Shop the look: Gifts under $500

16th December, 2015

If you’re stuck for ideas on what to buy your nearest and dearest this Christmas I’ve rounded up some great gift ideas that are sure to impress.

Candle: Fornasetti

A gorgeous candle is always a fail safe gift option – especially when it comes in such beautiful packaging. This is a great piece that could sit proudly on someone’s dressing table or coffee table.

Perfume: Balenciaga

I know some might worry about buying perfume for other people as it can be quite personal but I always feel gifting a new scent to someone is a great luxurious gift. Plus if they really don’t like it they can always regift it! This particular fragrance is one of my favourites, so much so that I wore it on my wedding day.

Sunglasses: Celine

I love getting gifted a new pair of sunnies. I think people are quite scared to buy sunglasses because they are quite personal but I think these days they’re such a fashion item that I think it’s okay to have multiple pairs and having another pair (especially Celine!) to add to the collection would be welcomed by most women.

Makeup Brushes: Charlotte Tilbury

For the friend who is always on the go these travel-sized brushes are handbag-friendly and come in a fun pouch. I think quality makeup brushes are a really great gift as they’re a beauty essential.

Ring: Siren

Jewellery is always a really beautiful, sentimental gift to give to someone so if you’re looking for something a little bit more special, a ring like this is great.

Headphones: Frends Layla Headphones

Usually my rule with gift giving is to buy someone a present they wouldn’t necessarily buy themselves. I love these because earphones aren’t really the kind of thing at the top of people’s shopping list so they would be a welcome surprise to find under the Christmas tree. I know I’d be really excited to get a pair like these!
