Lexus Prix de marie claire awards

It may have been bucketing down outside but the Lexus Prix de marie claire fashion and beauty awards was definitely worth braving wild weather for. This year was the 10th anniversary of the awards and it was held at Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter. There’s always a certain buzz around this event and it always attracts the big names in fashion. This year was no exception with everyone from Jennifer Hawkins to Dion Lee and Kym Ellery all making an appearance.

The Prix de marie claire awards always takes events to a whole new level and this year’s styling was particularly stunning. There were big black curtains hiding everything while everyone arrived and mingled and when it was time for the event to start, everyone walked up a flight of stairs and behind the curtains there was a big beautiful room filled with an amazing pattern made of candles. It was just breathtaking.

I was actually multitasking at the event. I was doing vox pops on the red carpet in my role as Lexus ambassador, I was filming Fashion Bloggers and I was presenting an award! I presented an award many years ago at the 2009 Prix de marie claire awards so it was nice to be doing it at its 10th anniversary. I presented the award for best Australian boutique, which went to Parlour X.

One of the best bits about the awards is that I always pick up a tip for a beauty product to roadtest. I always take notes of all the things I want to try afterwards! See below for the full list of winners and pics from the event.
