When you think of the words winter jumper you’d be forgiven for thinking of something cosy but also quite practical and perhaps not overly fashion forward. I’m all for owning sweaters in classic colours that are easy to mix and match but I’ve recently got into wearing statement knits.
Given we spend most of our time during the cooler months wearing jumpers I find it doesn’t hurt to dial it up in the style stakes by going for more bold looks. I wore the above Burberry knit to Fashion Week a few months ago and found that it really livened up my outfit whilst keeping me nice and toasty – a win-win. I loved the details that made it a little more extra—the blouson sleeve, the colourful pattern, the panelling and the bustier feature turned it into more than just your average, garden variety, knitted number.
When it comes to winter warmers I think you can afford to have a little more fun with them this season.
