Steal her style: Selena Gomez

10th June, 2016

Selena Gomez has had a sartorial transformation over the years that has seen her evolve from Disney star to owning pretty much every red carpet she walks on. Whilst out on the town recently she rocked this casual but cool ensemble, managing to mix frayed denim with a classic coat with panache. The great news is that this is one looks that’s easy to copy and paste into your wardrobe. I’ve even rounded up my fave shopping picks for you to help make it easier.

Cropped jeans

While Selena’s Vetements jeans are into four-figure territory, never fear – there are plenty of great alternatives out there without the significant price tag. This pair by Acne has the distressed hem and is rather conveniently on sale at the moment. Alternatively there’s this classic pair by Topshop and Rag & Bone.

Long length coat

A coat in a neutral shade is a great investment piece because it’s guaranteed to work in your wardrobe season after season. If you’re looking to REALLY splurge this coat by The Row in a timeless cut and shade is quite droolworthy but there are also equally as wardrobe-friendly but wallet-friendly options by Harris Wharf London and Joseph.

The turtleneck is having a bit of a moment. The style is huge this season and when in a white or cream it makes it extremely versatile, too. This one in a ribbed material is a great way to add some interesting texture to a look, but for a top that will work both day and night, consider this sleeveless turtleneck by Dion Lee. This ¾ length shirt on ASOS offers a budget-friendly way to get the look and is one style that will take you through to spring.

Steal the whole look for $204!

If you want to snap up Selena’s entire outfit from head-to-toe, run don’t walk to ASOS now. The top, the coat and the jeans are all yours for just a little over $200. Weekend outfit, anyone?
