What I Wore: Colour Way

2nd February, 2021

The great thing about using black as one of the anchor points of an outfit is that you’re able to take it in virtually any direction because you’d be hard pressed to find anything that doesn’t play well with black. I have had these Aje jeans on high rotation over the last few months and one of my fave ways to wear it is with pops of colour. This cropped top by Silvia Tcherassi is such a fun piece to pair with a variety of different hues and silhouettes (it’s also on sale right now!). What I love about it is the print and colourful palette. It’s such a good way to brighten up a look, and the puff sleeves add a dramatic touch which really lifts this entire ensemble.

Working accessories into this look meant finding a balance between complementing it with other hues without making it too over the top. This one of the reasons why I opted for a pair of black Bottega Veneta heels, but also having the same colour shoe as my pants gives a more elongated effect which is a plus.

I finished this look off by layering some colourful pieces by Chaumet. I’m always a fan of stacking necklaces and bracelets, and in this instance I really like the colourful effect it achieved. I also stacked a few beautiful rings from the range to add another interesting point of interest. The final finishing touches were my go-to Dior bag with gold hardware and a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses by Le Specs.
