What’s on my shopping wish list

16th August, 2019

Whether it’s the fact that we’re a few weeks away from the easy breezy dressing of spring/summer or I’ve just been in the mood for more colour in my wardrobe, my shopping list this month could be described as vibrant and fun. I’ve fallen in love with punchy tones such as pink and yellow, all the while looking towards statement pieces that can elevate a look. Also I’ve gravitated towards accessories that can hold their own—from an elegant pearl headband to an embellished tote with feathers aplenty, it’s all about working with pieces that are anything but ordinary.

Cropped Feather-trimmed Straight-Leg Jeans, Prada

They’re certainly not the kind of jeans that you’d throw on to hit the playground but I absolutely adore their theatrical vibe. The feathers at the bottom just give it an injection of fun.

Shearling-Trimmed Cable-Knit Mohair-Blend Sweater, Prada

Whilst I do have some reliable neutral sweaters that are failsafes I couldn’t resist how fun this colour combination is. Plus the shearling trim just gives it a point of difference.

Reveries faux pearl and gold-tone beaded shoulder bag, Vanina

The trend for bags of late has been towards a very feminine aesthetic and compact in size. I could see myself wearing this to an event or a night out with friends.

L’oiseau Rebelle Feather-Embellished Acrylic Tote, Vanina

The feathers on this bag are beautiful! A definite showstopper of a tote that’s far from ordinary.

Epica Gold-Tone Faux Pearl Headband, Rosantica

I’ve been on the hunt for gorgeous headbands and headpieces in the lead up to spring carnival and I couldn’t go past this pearl headband. I love the oversized pearls and its elegant feel.

Cadyl leather mini dress, Iro

The simple silhouette of this dress ticks all the boxed but what makes it special is that it’s steered in a totally contemporary, slightly edgy direction by being crafted from leather.

Maria Cocoon Oversized Faux Shearling Coat, Stand

I cannot get enough of oversized coats, and I particularly love the pink hue of this and the cosy shearling fabrication.

Marina Sunglasses, Local Supply

A great little pair of affordable cat eye sunglasses that I can throw on whether I’m running errands or out and about with the girls.

Valentina Loafers, Mara & Mine

These are a classic shape and a classic colour but the metal detail gives it a luxe touch and a point of difference.

Remnant Chain, Sarah & Sebastian

This gorgeous chain has a lovely sculptural feel, making it a great statement piece that’s ideal for working back with ensembles that have a pared back aesthetic.
