Dion Lee presented his spring/summer 2013 collection in an intimate dinner and presentation at Guillaume at Bennelong, Sydney Opera House. I was lucky enough to be a guest on the night and I have to say it was my favourite show of the week. The collection titled ‘Windmap’ was adapted from the Dion Lee Fall 2013 collection presented in Paris earlier this year. The presentation included 15 previously unseen looks and consisted of evening shapes and tailored silhouettes. Each look was styled with the iconic R.M Willams Millicent boot to add to the Australian aesthetic within the collection. I particularly loved the accessory collaboration with Sydney based jewellery designers ‘Sarah and Sebastian’ who made pieces for the show that were adapted from the patterns within the collection, including a sculptural sterling silver interlocking harness. Here are some of my favourite looks.
