What I wore this week

4th February, 2022

It’s been a big week! My youngest daughter, Grace started school and there’s been a few things on the go on the work front. In between the busyness, I’ve had fun playing with some great looks, particularly bold, bright pieces that are perfect for the last month of summer, and some beautifully dainty and feminine pieces. Here’s what I wore this week.

A great blouse and jeans is one of my favourite outfit shortcuts. This embroidered Alemais blouse is always a playful option with denim, and these patent green heels add a nice splash of colour. This is further proof that if you find a good pair of jeans, you’re guaranteed to be able to create multiple looks.

There’s something about cheery colours that instantly lift my mood. This vibrant pink denim dress is just the right kind of hue to energise me for the day ahead—if I’m ever feeling flat, I always put on a bold colour and it instantly perks me up. I paired this with black Bottega Veneta heels and a pair of statement earrings to elevate it.

How cute is this cardigan? I love the sweet embroidery and the pastel mint combination. Wearing cardis as a top is one of my fave trends of late, and this one works well worn back with white jeans. I went for comfort in this instance with gold flats and another beautiful pastel hue, in the form of this mini baby pink Chanel bag.

I categorise jumpsuits in the same camp as dresses—an easy outfit option when you just can’t be bothered thinking of what to wear. I like the relaxed cut and high collar of this particular style, not to mention the statement sleeve. For the ultimate in comfort dressing, I wore these Proenza Schouler Birkenstocks, and my favourite Prada bucket bag, which is both practical and a chic option for daytime looks.

What I Wore: Blue Jean Baby

3rd August, 2021

Denim is a mainstay of my wardrobe but I love being able to wear it in its different iterations—there’s definitely more to denim than jeans! I saw this denim boiler suit by AGolde and loved the relaxed silhouette (read: unbelievably comfy). It’s something that I can quickly turn to when I need an outfit that looks put together without having to fuss around with trying to pair separates. It’s the beauty in jumpsuits and dresses—instant look! I think the detail is also great, with the exaggerated cap sleeve and the cinched in waist which makes for a flattering fit. I’ll be wearing this look heading into spring, however it could easily be paired with jeans and a coat and become a go-to piece during the remainder of winter. Additionally, this jumpsuit is perfect for busy mums looking for an easy, comfortable outfit for a busy day with the kids or doing the school run (something I’ve always got at the back of my mind whenever I’m shopping for pieces).

The sun was shining so I went for open slides on this day, plus it gave me an excuse to get reacquainted with these Bottega slides again. I love white shoes as they’re so versatile and the signature quilted finish adds a on-trend touch. I can easily pair these shoes with so many different looks and as you can see, they work beautifully with denim. I went for simple gold frame Ray Bans to add a final finishing touch.
