What I Wore: Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressange

3rd September, 2018

I love designer collaborations that are stylish, affordable and classic. It’s always nice when you can buy something from a collection that’s not instantly identifiable as being from a particular collaboration and can just fit seamlessly into your wardrobe for a few seasons to come. This is why I fell in love with the new collaboration between Uniqlo and French designer Ines de la Fressange. The designs are the epitome of Parisian chic and even better is the fact they have a kids range too, and as expected with all things French, every piece feels timeless.

The launch of the collection was the perfect excuse for Sophia and I to have fun playing around with some pieces from the range recently. What I really liked is the fact that there were some beautiful understated prints like polka dot and houndstooth in both the children’s and the adult range and there were also some vibrant pieces that helped provide the perfect accent to each look.

Whilst I opted for some sweater and skirt combinations (which by the way is such a great shortcut to looking dressed up instantly) and a beautiful spotted dress, there are also lots of great pants and blouses to play with, not to mention a gorgeous selection of coats. I love the kids range because the designs were a little bit different to standard children’s wear. The cut, the look and feel and the finishing touches all looked decidedly French and had a really classic sensibility.

This was a great way to get a touch of Paris at home, and at a really great price point that makes it tempting to snap up the entire range!
