What I Wore: David Jones AW19 ‘The Art of Living’ launch

9th February, 2019

As a long time attendee of David Jones’ incredible events I was so excited to attend their new season launch on location in Tasmania. The event that took place over two days was hosted at the Museum of New and Old Art (MONA) and included being able to get up close and personal with David Jones’ fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands.

I wore this outfit to lunch on the first day where we were invited to a dine at MONA’s The Source restaurant. The menu on the day was designed by MONA’s Chef Vince Trim which showcased a lot of David Jones’ Tasmanian suppliers local providores, winemakers and distillers. In one word: amazing. The food and location was just next-level.

I wanted to go for something quite feminine with my look so I decided on a floral top and skirt by Lover. I loved the understated Forget Me Not flower print but also the finishing touches such as the subtle split in the skirt and the ruffles and button detail.

Sticking with the colour scheme of the dress, I opted for a few gold accessories to pick up the yellow flowers in the print and my longtime favourite Gucci heels and cat eye sunglasses by Lucy Folk fit the bill. A summer outfit wouldn’t be complete without my current favourite Poolside bag—it’s just the right texture and vibe for such an event.
