Fashion, What I Wore

What I wore this week

13th October, 2022

Another week, another round of outfits! It’s been a great week for trialling a few new brands and revisiting some looks I’ve worn recently. There have been a few splashes of colour, a workout look and some great casual pieces in this week’s rotation. While spring is already here the weather is still a bit topsy turvy so I’m just hanging out for some solid sunny weather to bring out some more spring looks. Here’s what I wore this week.

On the way to a Roosters event with Luke and I went for a smart casual ensemble featuring my fave Levi’s jeans and a newcomer to my wardrobe in the form of a Ducie leather blazer. I’ve always been a fan of leather jackets and I’ve found the blazer style to be a great way to embrace a similar vibe but with a little more polish. It’s also really easy to pair with everything from pants to jeans and dresses so I’ve really been embracing it in a few different outfits of late. I paired this with white Chanel sneakers and a Prada bucket bag to round out the look.

Back in workout mode post-school holidays. This Jaggad set is a great one to wear when I’m exercising as it’s comfy but still looks put together enough that I can happily wear it to grab coffee or breakfast afterwards. I decided to give things a bit of a fashion-y spin with these tortoiseshell Pared sunglasses which add a statement finish.

Pairing varying shades of one colour makes for a really impactful look, which is why I really rate this ensemble by Aussie brand White Story. The forest green leather pants are such an unexpected take on the traditional black leather legging that I’m used to wearing, and have been a great way to give leather pants a new spin. The colour and wide leg cut make it a feel a little more on trend, while the green shirt in a similar hue adds cohesion and a fashion forward feel. My fave Bottega Veneta heels help tie everything together and give this look an elevated feel.

I wore this look to host an event recently and loved it so much I decided it needed another outing. This laser cut embroidery give this shift dress a whimsical feel, but the simplicity of the silhouette helps to avoid it looking too saccharine. I’ve also been wearing these Aje shoes with so many different looks— I’m definitely a convert when it comes to white heels, they go with with virtually everything.
