My daily wrap up of the day that was at Australian Fashion Week.
Shows I attended: 10 Pieces
Location: Icebergs, Bondi Beach
Fave show: 10 pieces
Biggest trends I saw: Emerald green, monochrome, tailoring mixed with relaxed street wear vibes.
The highlight of the day: Watching 10 pieces with the backdrop of bondi; a pit stop at the Vittoria Coffee lounge interviewing the likes of Russh editor-in-chief Jess Blanch and Fashion Week seating director, Miro Kubicek.
Who better to open Fashion Week than Kym Ellery? Judging from the show the monochrome trend shows no signs of going anywhere any time soon. Kym Ellery’s collection was filled with dramatic silhouettes including flares, voluminous coats and ankle length double breasted vests. The black and white palette was mixed with the occasional pop of colour and paisley print. One of the highlights of the show was definitely seeing Gemma Ward strutting down the catwalk again. A great start to the week!
