What I wore this week

21st April, 2022

From a wardrobe clear out to workout gear and my fave polished off duty looks, this week has seen it all. I’ve embraced a whole lot of colour while going for an all black look the next, but it’s always a good week when I’m able to wear my faves, but rework them in a new way, while also embracing some fun new additions. Here’s what I wore this week.

I’m taking part in Vinnies’ The Drop and this Lover trench is something I’m giving away. And I want you to snap it up! You can find more info here. A printed trench is such a great way to liven up a pared back look like jeans and a tee or as a statement topper over a dress. Either way, it’s such a fun designer piece to have you in your closet!

Once I find activewear that I love I like to grab a set in different colours. I’ve got this Year of Ours set in a neutral colour and am a huge fan because it’s comfy and provides great support but I could also walk out the door and wear this to grab a coffee. I like embracing different colours when it comes to activewear as wearing all black all the time just gets a little repetitive.

Jeans and a fun top is one fashion equation that always works. I’ve waxed lyrical about my love of denim this week so it’s no surprise that it always gets a workout in my weekly wardrobe rotation. I’m embracing more relaxed styles when it comes to jeans, but I always like to pair it with something more fitted at the top, such as this Manning Cartell halter top. Not only is the style a lot of fun, I’m always a fan of anything in Barbie pink!

I’ve really come around to wearing black trousers in a more casual way of late. I used to categorise them as being more of a dressy piece, but paired with a tee and sandals it really works to create a polished off duty look. Also, it’s one way to get more wear out of the trousers that you’d usually relegate for work or an occasion, and I’m a fan of being able to extend the use of pieces I already own.
