Fashion, What I Wore

2021: My year in outfits

31st December, 2021

Oh my what a year 2021 has been! It’s our second year of navigating our way through a new normal and it certainly brought some challenges, but also some true moments of light.

I’ve spent the year embracing my love of fashion more than ever before. I embraced some great, longtime favourite Aussie designers, discovered some new brands and enjoyed the return of Australian Fashion Week. Being able to dress up, support my fave labels and catch up with colleagues and friends in the industry is really something I will never take for granted again.

Every year when I do this post, I am always curious to see how my style has changed from the start of the year to the end. It’s always fun reminiscing on the trends I’ve loved, the pieces I’ve worn on high rotation and the new additions that have really evolved my look. This year, I’ve been all about dresses—midi, mini, maxi, you name it, I wore it. I’ve also embraced colour a lot more from vibrant yellows to bright pinks and everything in between. I’ve loved wearing a number of different pieces throughout the year, from my black Bottega Veneta Stretch heels to my trusty Chanel slingback flats and bottle green Dior Book bag, these have all been by my side (which just goes to show they’ve truly earned their great cost per wear status!). I’ve embraced Aussie designers like Aje, Camilla and Marc, Bec and Bridge, Viktoria and Woods, Venroy, Acler, Bondi Born and Rebecca Vallance while also being lucky enough to wear some truly stunning pieces from international brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Fendi and Dior.

It’s been another great year in fashion and I can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store. Wishing you the most wonderful new year filled with lots of love, laughter and style.
