For me, holiday wardrobes are one of the most fun to curate. I love being able to roadtest new looks and rework existing pieces, all while thoroughly immersing myself in the vibe of being overseas. We visited a few different countries on this trip, not to mention there were a number of different occasions from racewear for Royal Ascot to black tie for my brother’s 40th in London to celebrating mine and Luke’s 10th wedding anniversary to the relaxed vibes of enjoying the sun in Taormina. There was a lot to cover!
I embraced a lot of Aussie designers on this trip because there’s always something nice about flying the Aussie fashion flag overseas. Plus we were spending a lot of time in Italy, and I don’t think anyone does resortwear better than Australian designers. I wore a lot of pieces from Venroy and Alemais on this trip, sprinkled with some Aje and Viktoria and Woods. Overall I just wanted to be comfortable, yet still polished, which is my aesthetic whether I’m at home or on vacation. I think the brands I chose really delivered on that front.
One thing I tend to do with holiday wardrobes when I’m spending time somewhere warm is embrace a lot of colour and prints. I definitely did that on this trip from a vibrant yellow Aje dress which I wore in Paris and London to a printed Alemais swimsuit and patterned dresses from Venroy in Italy. There’s something about a high energy wardrobe that ties in well to the feelings I have whenever I’m lucky enough to be spending time with people I love in some of my favourite places.
Here’s a rundown of all the outfits I wore while on holiday…
