What I Wore: 2022 Australian Open

1st February, 2022

I was lucky enough to be invited by Ralph Lauren down to Melbourne to watch the Australian Open this year, and it’s without a doubt one of my favourite events to attend. Polo Ralph Lauren is the official outfitter of the Australian Open once again this year, and Luke and I were invited to spend an evening at the tennis, enjoying a delicious meal at Melbourne Park then onto watch the Medvedev vs Tsitsipas semi-final. Such an event definitely called for a head to toe Ralph Lauren look.

What I love about Ralph Lauren’s aesthetic is that everything is guaranteed to be classic and polished. This navy bustier with gold decorative buttons has such a clean line and is ultra flattering too. I decided to pair it with navy cigarette pants to achieve one long line and almost a jumpsuit effect. I’m quite petite so I like anything that helps to elongate my frame. I went for monochrome pumps to add a contrasting element, while a vibrant orange bag was the ideal splash of colour to tie the look together and add a statement feature.

My week on Instagram

20th January, 2019

The new year is well and truly in full swing now. This week I was lucky enough to attend a launch party for the Australian Open at Melbourne’s Crown Casino whilst getting to spend some time catching up with good friends like fellow blogger, Nadia Fairfax.

I was also able to channel one of the most iconic movie characters of all time, by embracing Emily Blunt’s polished, practically perfect wardrobe in Mary Poppins Returns (if you haven’t seen it yet, definitely do).

And in the midst of it all I managed to make the most of the Sydney sunshine by taking a quick dip.

Wishing you all a great week ahead!

What I Wore: Crown Tennis Party

17th January, 2019

The Australian Open is always a huge event on the sporting calendar and is definitely one of the highlights of summer. So I was excited to be able to attend an event celebrating its launch at Melbourne’s Crown Casino over the weekend.

When it comes to outdoor events, I always like to keep my outfit light and airy so this co-ordinating set from Zimmermann seemed the perfect choice. Crisp white is always ideal at this time of year, and I loved the pairing of the crop top with statement sleeves and the drop hem skirt for a look that was feminine and polished yet still maintained a relaxed, summery vibe.

As far as my accessories went, I couldn’t go past my straw Poolside bag which has been on high rotation over the last few weeks. I’m really loving simple, natural textures worked back with more elegant pieces, which in this case came in the form of my fave Bottega Veneta heels. Topping off my look were my new Chloe sunglasses with their sweet scalloped frames and had just the right look and feel for this particular ensemble.

What I Wore: Check Mate

kate waterhouse australian open style country road outfit

Every year, I love heading down to Melbourne to check out the Australian Open. The atmosphere is a lot of fun and there’s always plenty to see and do. This year, I was invited by Country Road to check out the tennis so what better opportunity to rock an outfit from their new season collection to head courtside. I love gingham prints so this wrap skirt with subtle split was a comfortable and stylish option for the day. I paired it with a classic white crew neck tee, whose simple, streamlined design worked perfectly with the busy print of the skirt and is the kind of versatile style staple that post-event can work with the rest of my wardrobe. I kept to a blue colour palette with the rest of my ensemble, opting to pair it with my navy top handle Bulgari bag and cat-eye sunglasses with mirrored lenses. It was the ideal understated look for a casual day out.
