Fashion, What I Wore

What I wore this week

13th May, 2021

It was a week of special occasions, kicked off by Mother’s Day spent with my family so it was all about occasion dressing this week. And it was proof that dressing for events is the perfect opportunity to explore the full gamut of your wardrobe. It’s about embracing different looks, from rich hues, elegant tailoring and a killer statement dress, but also about reverting to tried and tested favourites when your outfit needs a lift. Here’s what I wore this week.

A special mother-daughter date with Grace, where enjoyed a beautiful morning tea. Of course, it called for a bit of dressing up. Grace embraced her favourite hue, while I went for a sleek shirt dress by Melbourne-based brand Diida. Love the classic silhouette of this dress offset by the on-trend, modern vibe of my black Bottega heels.

Enjoying a very special Mother’s Day lunch with my family at Crown Sydney. The girls were in their Sunday finery so I decided to follow suit with this Acler top and skirt combination. The sky blue one shoulder top worked back with the lilac skirt made for a great colour blocking moment, and embracing vibrant colours seemed perfect for such a happy occasion.

Very proud daughter moment this week when I watched my mum awarded her Order of Australia medal. Attending with the rest of my family, I opted for an all white outfit with a top by Viktoria and Woods and white pants, also by the label. I opted for my black Bottega heels to help finish off this look, and is further proof that you can’t ever go wrong with monochrome.

I went to a fashion show this week and it was so incredibly lovely being back doing something that seemed so impossible just a year ago. This was the Aje show in Sydney, and of course, I wanted to support the brand by wearing Aje. This dreamy green hue was so vivid and rich, and it made for quite the statement-making look.
