What I Wore: Form and Function

27th January, 2021

I’ve been embracing simplicity a lot this summer—my outfits have tended to be unfussy and uncomplicated. I love easy, effortless dressing most days and this Camilla and Marc look is just that.

I’ve really loved nothing more than a simple tank paired with a great skirt or pants and it’s quickly become one of my go-to outfit combinations. This tank is one that I’ll be able to pair with the majority of my wardrobe which is great for versatility. I love anything that I can repurpose over and over again. While the midi skirt is one that’s got a little more character, it’s definitely the kind of style that I can wear with other tops to steer it in different directions. Plus I like the fact it’s a classic style, but the pocket detail gives it a little edge.

I went with a Dior Book tote in a bottle green to add a touch of colour (and also rather practically, it’s a great size for carrying around on a busy day as it fits everything). When working with neutrals, I always like to inject a bold hue to give it a little extra personality. While a pair of Le Specs tortoiseshell sunglasses and my fave black sandals helped tie the look together.

What I wore working from home

24th September, 2020

I had another varied work from home week this week with a combination of launches, campaigns and general desk time keeping me busy. But it also meant I was able to experiment with a variety of different looks. I’m on board with any excuse to get dressed up these days so it was a nice way to break up the week. Here’s what I wore this week.

I was hosting a Clarins webinar this day so it was the perfect chance to get dressed up. I wore this combination from Seed, featuring a pleated top and midi skirt. I had the chance to wear this set to a Seed launch a few months back and it’s always great to be able to pull out an event outfit again. I paired this with nude mesh Bottega Veneta heels to add a modern element.

Embracing spring dressing on this day as it was quite warm in Sydney. This lemon dress by DVF was able to get a run, but I tied a Venroy knit around my waist just in case the temperature dropped. I have been wearing these Ducie sandals non-stop as they are SO unbelievably comfortable.

Getting behind David Jones’ campaign with the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (ALNF) with this Aje shirt, with 100 per cent of profits going to the ALNF’s literacy programs. I went for the classic combination of a white tee with denim, and dressed it up a little with low heel, slingback Bottega Veneta heels.

I’m loving the UK brand Ducie London right now, with these shoes and this tee quickly becoming firm favourites. I’ve got this look bookmarked for many future outings, and it’s such an easy WFH outfit template to follow just by switching up different pieces.
