Steal her style: Julie Sarinana

19th August, 2016

If there’s one thing Julie Sariñana the founder of fashion blog Sincerely Jules can do it’s pull together a great casual look. Hailing from Los Angeles she has mastered how to do the Californian high-low mix beautifully. Case in point: she’s often spotted mixing a blazer with a great pair of denim shorts or a simple summer dress with a pair of statement heels. She keeps most of her looks quite pared back but loves to add a great print or some amazing accessories to really elevate an outfit. She’s the perfect example of how to do cool casual with a sophisticated touch.

Want to steal Sariñana’s style? Check out my style vs steal options below.

Neutral blazer

A great neutral blazer is almost as versatile as one in a darker shade. A light blazer is perfect for spring when it’s that tricky time of trans-seasonal dressing and you need a light cover up in the evenings.

White tee

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again you can never have too many white tees. A simple white tee will work with numerous outfits so it will always be a welcome addition to any wardrobe.

Leather pants

Have you invested in leather pants yet? If not, I suggest you do! You’ll find they’re as versatile as jeans, maybe even more so and they’re so ridiculously comfy too.

Black sneakers

White sneakers are definitely a go-to but black are also worth trying for their slightly dressier appearance. White laces are ideal for a more casual look but if you want to give it a sophisticated touch swap them for a black pair.

Chain strap bag

If Chanel bags showed us anything it’s a great chain strap bag is a great addition to any wardrobe. A plain or patterned bag with a chain strap will work well simply decide according to your mood.

Aviator sunglasses

A touch of Top Gun never goes astray! A pair of great aviators are the ideal sunglasses to wear when you’re after something slightly more dressy.

Steal her style: Aimee Song

She has 3.8 million followers on Instagram alone and her hugely successful blog Song of Style is an endless source of fashion inspo, so it’s no surprise that Aimee Song knows how to turn standard fashion staples such as a blazer and jeans and turn it into something deserving of thousands of likes. Add this outfit to your repertoire for those days when you want to walk out the door with some extra polish.

Black blazer

I know that I can’t live without a black blazer in my life purely because it’s often an easy option to throw on over an outfit and pulls a look together without much effort.

Black tee

A wardrobe should always have a well stocked supply of t-shirts. I tend to favour white the most but a simple black tee is always good to have on hand.

Ripped denim

This is a great lesson in how distressed denim can still look sharp. A pair of skinny or straight leg jeans, cropped at the ankle and paired with the right accoutrements can go from comfy casual to decidedly chic.

Metallic bag

Not ventured into metallics territory as yet? A bag is a great place to start. A metallic bag is often a great way to add a pop of colour to an outfit and give it a point of difference.

Pointed heels

The plethora of pointed heels available this season with interesting finishes and textures will ignite your passion for the humble black pump. An investment you definitely won’t regret.
