What I Wore: Louis Vuitton Maison launch

30th November, 2019

It was exciting times this week as I was invited to attend the launch of the revamped Louis Vuitton store in Sydney. The space is absolutely gorgeous and it was such a special opportunity to be able to take it all in and check out what new LV goodies that are in store right now (and possibly work on my Christmas wish list at the same time!).

There was no question that I wanted to wear something by the brand, in keeping with the occasion, but what was more difficult was narrowing it down to just one look. This gorgeous monogrammed shift dress however really stood out for me. I’ve always been a huge fan of shift dresses and this particular one, with its elevated finishing details, particularly the dual zips was a standout design. I also liked the tweed fabrication which gave it a great textured look, not to mention the bi colour monogram.

When working with such a strong piece I think it’s good to keep accessories simple and to a minimum. So I decided on a black Louis Vuitton shoulder bag with logo clasp, and sleek Giuseppe Zanotti two strap heels. They were both great complementary pieces but took nothing away from the dress and really allowed it to stand out.

What I Wore: Country Cool

22nd October, 2019

Light, easy breezy dresses are a mainstay of my spring/summer wardrobe. And for good reason. They’re versatile, easy to wear and look effortlessly chic. The elegant colour palette of vibrant yellow in this Aje dress worked back against crisp white is perfect for spring and is an easy go-to. The sweet embroidery helps lift this look and gives it an accent feature that allows the dress to pop. The simple silhouette also makes the dress a style chameleon, making it easy to pair with everything from a blazer to a cardi to understated accessories or something that pops.

I could easily wear this dress with slides or sandals for a more casual look but I wanted to add shoes that would ground the look a little more. Ankle boots worn with a dress is always a great combination so I opted to pair the dress with Louis Vuitton ankle boots. It’s also a great shoe for such a setting as it gives the overall vibe of the dress a slightly more rustic feel. To finish off the look I went for a relaxed approach to accessorising and layered two of my favourite necklaces. An easy yet impactful look.

My week on Instagram

9th June, 2019

One of the highlights of this week was attending the launch of the Louis Vuitton B.Blossom fine jewellery collection at the brand’s concept store in Sydney. Not only was it great being able to try the different pieces on, it was also fun being able to catch up with friends like Sara Crampton.

This week has also been a great opportunity to snap up some special pieces with Harrold’s big sale. Lots of my favourite designers were on sale and some were reduced up to 50 per cent which to me is the perfect time to nab a few designer things I’ve had my eye on.

And to cap off such a big week, I headed up to our family farm to enjoy a relaxing weekend in the country. The girls always really love it as it gives them the opportunity to run around and have a great time with all the different animals my parents keep. I for one, am glad for the extra day’s break and will definitely be making the most of it enjoying the sunshine.

Hope you all have a great week ahead!

What I Wore: Louis Vuitton

8th June, 2019

As a long time fan of Louis Vuitton I was thrilled to attend the launch of their new B Blossom collection at their concept store on Sydney’s George Street. It was so fun to check out all the pieces in the range and have the opportunity to try them on.

When it comes to big launches such as this I always like to support the brand by wearing something from their range, and for this event I was lucky enough to be dressed by Louis Vuitton. For a cocktail party, what better outfit option than a little black dress? I decided on a sleeveless Louis Vuitton LBD but as it was a bit chilly outside, I decided to pop on a turtleneck underneath. It helped keep me warm and has always been a favourite go-to hack of mine to extend the wear of dresses into winter. It had such a beautiful pattern on it which helped elevate it, whilst the silhouette was still classic and sophisticated and ideal for such an event.

I paired this look with simple black Aquazzura pumps and a bold cherry red Louis Vuitton bag which I wore as a clutch. And of course, I wanted to wear a few pieces from the B Blossom collection. I layered two necklaces to add an interesting element to my ensemble, and wore some simple and understated earrings and rings, also from the range, to complement the rest of my look.

What I Wore: Elevated Casual

23rd January, 2018

I’m a firm believer that off duty style doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice looking polished. Don’t get me wrong—super casual lounge wear definitely has a place in my life but sometimes when I’m out and about I want to adopt a considered look without sacrificing comfort. This is when I rely on a great dress. This Camilla and Marc number is unfussy, with a simple silhouette, making it a blank canvas from which to build an outfit, but the exposed shoulder detail gives it a point of interest. Adding touches of colour are great when working with white so I opted for my metallic Maje knotted slides and classic monogrammed Louis Vuitton backpack. Given backpacks have now had a stylish reboot, far far away from the bag you may remember carrying to school, they’re a great option on days when you’re on the go and have a million things to do. They’re especially a godsend for mums—free hands are a necessity when wrangling little ones. I never leave the house without a pair of sunglasses so my Poms black frames are a must.
