Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: The Classic Coat

8th August, 2017

The perfect neutral winter coat has been on my wish list for awhile. Finding one with just the right colour, cut, and finishing details is all important to me so when it all perfectly comes together in the form of a double-breasted coat in just the right shade I had to snap it up! There are key investment pieces in my wardrobe and a gorgeous winter topper definitely falls into that category. I think every girl should own at least one versatile coat, of the best quality she can afford, that can work with myriad looks and will last for years to come. I can see this Chloe number having many outings as its camel tone makes it so easy to pair with virtually any outfit. For this particular ensemble I wanted to play with elements of light and shade so I opted for bold accessories in dark shades to really allow the neutral hue to pop.

Shop the look: Sneakers

11th May, 2016

One of the best (and comfiest!) trends to come out of late is that of sneakers being elevated from something you’d wear on a full day running errands to bonafide fashion staple. Classic styles such as Adidas’ Stan Smith and Converse’s Chuck Taylors have all become street style staples with high end designers now joining in the fun. Everyone from Saint Laurent to Jil Sander have now released their own versions of the humble sneaker and it’s a breath of fresh air after seasons of tottering around in impossibly high heels. The great thing about sneakers is that they’re so versatile —you can equally dress it up or down with bold jewellery or a chic, streamlined bag (as above) or opt for a plain colour or splash out on a fun print. In case you haven’t yet jumped aboard this trend here are some cheap steals and designer splurges to consider.

Luxe for less

White sneakers are without a doubt having a moment and there’s no shortage of options to choose from. Whether you want a slightly tougher edge like these options by Adidas, Converse or Le coq sportif or something a bit daintier and more feminine such as this pair by Fred Perry or this pair by Superga, sneakers in a neutral hue are guaranteed to get a solid workout in your wardrobe.

If you’re in the market for a splurge there’s no shortage of great designer sneaker options. Make a statement with a pair of animal print trainers such as this pair by Charlotte Olympia or one in a sweet pastel shade like this pair from Saint Laurent. If you’re after a more classic pair try these sneakers by Jil Sander or Michael Kors or if you want something slightly more unique a textured pair a la these Helmut Lang sneakers is one way to get noticed.

Escaping with Michael Kors

20th November, 2014

It’s not often you get to take a life time-out mid-week, but I did just that last week when I flew to Byron Bay as part of Michael Kors Jet Set Day with a few of my fellow fashion bloggers.

Our luxurious day out started at the Michael Kors boutique in Sydney where we picked out a few pieces from the collection to wear on our trip. After that it was straight to the airport where we prepared to board our private jet. (As this was probably the first and only time I will ever fly by private jet this was a major highlight for me!) We flew to Byron and enjoyed a leisurely lunch at Rae’s on Wategos at Wategos Beach. The food was just amazing. And what better way to cap off a lovely day than being pampered with a pedicure and a spa treatment after lunch. Pure bliss.

Do you want to win your very own Michael Kors escape complete with private jet, gourmet lunch and five-star pampering? All you have to do is purchase a Michael Kors watch to enter and visit for more details.
