What’s on my shopping radar: Love Ally Artemis bust candle, L’alingi micro eternity pouch, Chanel mesh and patent calfskin sandals

25th February, 2022

My shopping travels this month have allowed me to unearth plenty of great pieces that I definitely want to add to my closet and in my home. While I’m on the hunt for some new season pieces for autumn, I have managed to stumble upon some stunning things, some I’ve already bookmarked for an event or occasion in my head, while another would become quite the visual statement. Here’s what’s on my radar this month.

Love Ally Artemis Bust Candle, $120

As far as candles go you can’t get more ornate and beautiful than this one. It’s absolutely stunning and I can already see it becoming a decorative focal point in our home. It’s also locally made and uses sustainable beeswax. The only issue is I could probably never bring myself to light it!

L’Alingi Micro Eternity Pouch, $788.02

I’m really into statement bags right now, and I love how extra this bag is! The vibrant hue and the rhinestone handle both work together to create a piece that’s destined to elevate any look that’s lucky enough to be paired with it. I could envisage this working with many an event look.

Chanel Mesh and Patent Calfskin Sandals, $2190

I’m a huge fan of the Chanel Dad sandal and am loving the latest iteration of the style. The braided sole and the mesh upper are perfect for summer and could work well with so many different looks in my closet. I also love the fact it ticks the comfort box and I could wear this out on the school run or to an event and remain super comfortable.

On My Radar: Mara and Mine Inez sandal, Bondi Born Harley One Piece and Lack of Colour Ventura hat

21st January, 2022

There are often plenty of things that end up on my radar every month, but this month, I’ve been thinking about these three buys a lot. I’m still enjoying shopping for summery pieces and these pieces will definitely work with so many existing pieces in my wardrobe, but help tie many looks together. I always love things that have an interesting finishing detail or just the right silhouette, and this trio definitely ticks both boxes. Here’s what’s top of mind this month when it comes to my shopping list.

Mara and Mine Inez Sandal – Lime, $350

I’m gravitating towards colourful accessories of late, and these lime green sandals by Mara and Mine are just the thing to liven up an outfit. The hue just screams summer dressing, while the minimalist design featuring just two delicate straps make it a piece that is quite versatile. The low block heel is also perfect, as it means I could wear these sandals both in a casual and dressy situation, and with everything from pants to dresses, jeans and shorts.

Bondi Born Harley One Piece – Black, $295

You’ll find most of my swimsuit collection during summer comprises of one pieces, and there’s no better addition to that repertoire than a great black maillot. This one is super flattering, and I love the ruching and tie neck feature, along with the classic high waist. It’s something I could easily throw on with a pair of shorts to head to the beach, or I could add a wide leg pant and an elegant sandal and head straight from the pool or sand, right to cocktail hour.

Lack of Color Ultra Wide Ventura, $139

Sun protection is a must, particularly in Australia during summer so I’m always on the look out for a great hat. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a classic straw hat, but the big draw card of this Lack of Color style is that it has an ultra wide brim which provides oodles of sun protection. I spend a lot of time at the beach so I would definitely get plenty of use out of this hat. The frayed edging gives it a relaxed resortwear vibe, while the black ribbon necktie is both practical and stylish.

On my radar: In The Roundhouse placemats, Tash Sefton Supergas and a Camilla and Marc denim jacket

7th May, 2021

Shopping around this month, I’ve uncovered so many beautiful things to lust over. It’s that time of year where I’ve been on the hunt for new pieces to add to my winter wardrobe, and also a few staples that need replenishing and I’ve managed to compile quite the list. This month, it’s all about shoes (naturally), and also the Camilla and Marc denim jacket that’s been inspired by a tried and tested staple I already own, and a fun and playful piece I’ve got bookmarked for my next event at home (or just to make dinner time that little more extra).

In The Roundhouse Scalloped Edged Placemat

These placemats just scream adorable. I love the scalloped edge detail which adds a little theatre to any table setting, while the pastel hue is perfect for adding a pretty touch to any soiree. These come in a set of 4, and in different colours too, so I may have to invest in a few for home.

Tash Sefton Superga Organic Cotton Hemp Sneakers

Artist, influencer and style consultant Tash Sefton, has done the cutest collab with Superga. These sneakers are made of organic materials, in a simple and classic design. What I love is the handwritten logo — so fun and chic.

Camilla and Marc Ruth Jacket

I have this jacket in blue denim after falling in love with it recently, so my attention naturally turned to its darker counterpart. The oversized fit of this jacket makes it a great layering piece in winter, but in summer, it has that relaxed silhouette that makes it an effortless piece to add to any look.

On my radar: The Camilla and Marc trench, the Alex and Trahanas fruit bowl stand and the Apede Mod mini tote

26th March, 2021

I’m lucky to come across a lot of beautiful things in my job, and as a result I’m always finding new additions for my wish list. This month I’ve been in equal parts house and wardrobe shopping mode. I’ve been looking for new decorative pieces for our home post-reno, just small things that can really help transform our space. While on the fashion front, I’ve been searching for new updates to add to my autumn wardrobe. And in my travels, I’m lucky to have managed to find a few pieces that fit the bill. Here’s what’s currently on my radar.

Apede Mod Poker Face Mini Tote

This cute structured bag is just the thing to add a fresh touch to the more moodier tones I’ll no doubt be wearing throughout autumn and winter. The size is perfect as I’ll be able to carry all my essentials without it being too cumbersome, and I love the chain strap which adds a layer of elevated elegance to the overall design.

Alex & Trahanas Fruit Bowl Stand

This is currently sold out but I’m waiting patiently for new stock to arrive. This ceramic fruit stand is made in Puglia in Italy, and the colours and design remind me of many of my favourite holidays in Italy. I’m planning for it to be a stylish reminder of more Italian soujourns that will hopefully be on the horizon in the not so distant future.

Camilla and Marc Tarantino trench coat

I’ve been looking for a trench to get me through the next few months and I immediately fell in love with the design of this Camilla and Marc number. It’s the perfect length/shape to work back with my winter wardrobe and the colour is just right. I can’t wait to snap this one up as it’s definitely going to fill a gap in my wardrobe.

On my radar: the Venroy set, the Lucy Montgomery mirror and the Oroton necklace

26th February, 2021

What’s on my shopping radar this month? There’s plenty of amazing things out there right now, but there are three things that are definitely making me want to make a purchase. Right now, I’m equally scouring online and in-store for things for our home, but also for my closet. Here’s what’s making my heart race a little…

Image: Oroton
Oroton Eloise necklace

I’m loving chunky gold jewellery right now as it’s just such a fun way to liven up an outfit. Plus I’m finding it’s really versatile accessory option in that I can wear it casually with jeans and a tank, or worked back with a a great dress. The Eloise necklace caught my eye immediately as it’s just the right amount of bold, and a real statement-making piece.

Venroy cropped V back top and pants

Matching sets are always a great option anytime of year as they look instantly put together. I do love this set for that reason, but I’m drawn to the silhouette of the top in particular. The boxy shape is interesting, while the cropped length makes it a bit playful and the back detail is the ideal finishing touch. And as for the pants? I’ve become a huge fan of Venroy pants for their comfort level so I’d happily welcome another pair into my collection.

Lucy Montgomery Sirenuse mirror

Having been well and truly been bitten by the reno bug I’ve been finding myself looking for new pieces to update all corners of our home. This mirror is quickly becoming a must-have and fell on my shopping radar as I’m a huge fan of the brand. Love the sculptural shape and the texture, which would really make for the ideal standout piece to brighten up our home. And I do love the fact that ultimately, it’s still a functional piece that looks beautiful.
