Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Adornment

18th October, 2022

There’s nothing quite like a crisp white linen dress as the ultimate in effortless dressing. I’ve had this particular dress in my closet since last summer and it’s definitely been one to do the rounds frequently. It works for different occasions whether it’s a lunch with friends, a summer BBQ or an event which makes it the perfect style chameleon. I’m also a huge fan of a puffed sleeve and am pleased that not only is the trend not waning, it is becoming a consistent feature element of many a spring/summer piece. It adds a statement feature and really takes a dress to the next level.

The deep V neckline of this dress also makes it the perfect piece to showcase jewellery. I often layer jewellery with many of my outfits as I find it adds a point of interest and is a great way to inject a little personality and individuality to a look. I’ve worked with Chaumet for several years and have always loved working with their pieces. Layering jewellery often requires working with different lengths and styles, particularly when it comes to necklaces, and luckily Chaumet have so many styles of graduating lengths that it’s easy to mix and match them. Each piece is also a work of art which makes it a great way to add some flourishes to an outfit. I didn’t want to deter too much from the necklaces, so I added some delicate bangles and rings as complementary pieces. If you really want to make a white dress pop, jewellery is definitely the way to go.
