What I Wore: All Wrapped Up

6th December, 2017

I’m loving all the incarnations of a classic white shirt at the moment. Whilst a button down will always have a place in most women’s wardrobes it’s nice to be able to venture away from that silhouette and explore more fashion forward looks. Enter the wrap shirt. Incorporating the flattering fit of a traditional wrap dress but the polished feel of crisp collared blouse, it’s become a great alternative that marries both styles well. What I particularly like about this Camilla and Marc piece is the finishing touches that give it a point of difference—the blazer-like lapel and the split back detail elevate it into a strong, standout garment that can act as the focal point of a look.

The colour combination of white and navy is a favourite of mine so my Veronika Maine gathered skirt seemed the ideal pairing. It adds a softer, feminine touch that is a great contrast the the sharper look of the shirt. And what better way to add a pop of colour to this ensemble than with my pink Marco de Vincenzo braided heels. They definitely make a statement however are able to complement the rest of the outfit rather than look overwhelming. When it comes to accessories I love to go a little bold and daring at times so drop earrings and blue mirrored cat eye sunglasses seemed the perfect fit for this look.
