What I Wore: Enwrapped with Aje

15th November, 2022

An evening with one of my fave brands? Yes, please! I was recently invited to attend ‘Enwrapped with Aje’ a dinner hosted by the brand’s founders, so of course, attire from the brand was a must. Aje is one of my go-to brands for event wear as they always have such a great selection of statement-making dresses. The silhouettes are always interesting, the detail and flourishes always on point and the colours are always so vibrant. All the elements I tend to look for when it comes to occasion wear. I opted for a ballet pink dress with side cut outs and an open back as I liked its party dress vibe, but I also loved the puff sleeves which have become a signature style of Aje. I was excited to be able to attend the dinner with my sister-in-law Rey Vakili, who also wore a gorgeous mint green open back dress by Aje. The colour palette is perfect for spring/summer dressing and encapsulates the more upbeat energy during this time of year.

Accessorising this look was always going to be fun. I decided to go head-to-toe Aje and wore a pair of white heels by the brand. The style is so versatile and it’s a heel that’s been getting plenty of use ever since I welcomed them into my wardrobe. If you don’t have a white heel in your wardrobe, I definitely recommend getting a pair! To finish off the look I opted for a pastel pink Chanel bag. It’s a playful piece I’ve had in my closet for awhile, and while the colour doesn’t immediately seem practical, I’ve actually been able to wear this bag so much. I think neutrals are great, but sometimes it’s good to have a more colourful bag that can instantly brighten up an outfit. In this case, wearing pink on pink definitely helped cement the look.
