Golden Slipper is one of my favourite race days and last Saturday I was there trackside reporting for Channel 7 racing. The day did not disappoint, with fabulous fashion and amazing racing as well as beautiful weather.
The sun was shining so I opted for a feminine floral Toni Maticevski dress. The print was subtle and had the perfect look and feel for the day. I wanted to try and tie in the autumnal tones of the season so I paired the dress with tan Manning Cartell heels and a burgundy Nerida Winter headband. I thought my overall look was classic, with a subtle 50s feel and was a great ensemble for a busy day reporting in front of the camera.
For most race days I like to stick to minimal makeup. Today was no exception so I kept my look fresh with winged liner and a touch of gloss (see Michael Brown’s autumn racing makeup trends and tips here) which gave me a polished look without looking overdone.
