Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Here Comes The Sun

24th November, 2021

Swimsuits are one of those things that when you find a style that works, definitely stick with it! I spend a lot of time at the beach with my family over summer so I’ve become well versed in different swimwear brands and I have to attest to Jets being one of my go-tos. I love their minimalist aesthetic, everything is sleek and simple and sits really well. I’ve become a fan of one-piece swimsuits over the years because I’ve found them to be really flattering and I love the fact they’re easily able to go from beach to lunch or dinner without missing beat. Plus, even if I’m not by the water, I’ve been known to use them as bodysuits so I manage to get double the wear from them. I always opt for more muted hues with swimwear, and the majority of the time in solid colours, so I immediately zeroed in on this olive one piece swimsuit. It’s easily matched with a variety of different cover ups, and the silhouette is very understated, which I like. If it came in other colours I would totally snap them up too!

I’m always one to jump straight into another activity after a day at the beach so I always bring cover ups that I know look ready to go out. So, these wide leg pants, also by Jets, are a winner. The silhouette is very on trend, but it’s also understated enough that I can wear it away from the beach, which ticks the versatility box. I think it works well worn with a one-piece swimsuit or a bodysuit, so I’ve found it’s actually a great option to take when I’m going on holiday as I can dress it up or down quite easily. I’m all for packing less but strategically so I still end up with lots of outfit options, just without the insanely heavy suitcase. With gems like this already in my closet, I say bring on summer!
