What I Wore: Like a Rose

Zimmermann have always been one of my favourite designers and I’m always guaranteed to find something I love in every collection. So it was no surprise when I fell hard for this leather mini dress. I mean where do I begin? The buttery soft rose leather is just sublime and the silhouette so full of interesting contrasts from the cinched waist to the magyar sleeves. The full length exposed zipper give it a modern edge whilst the high collar and corset provides a Victorian-inspired contrasting elements. I could see myself wearing this to many an event including the upcoming party season.

With such a striking dress as a backdrop I had to keep my accessories streamlined and minimalist. My bag is actually a leather shoulder bag that I’ve fashioned into a clutch (one way to get maximum bang for your fashion buck is to be able to wear an item multiple ways). I kept to classic, unfussy black Alaia heels and added a playful finishing touch with my round frame Chloe sunglasses.
