It’s never lost on me how lucky I am to be gifted some beautiful things in the course of my job, and this gorgeous Fendi bag is definitely high on that list. The Fendi Peekaboo bag is a classic style for the brand and no wonder as it’s the kind of silhouette that’s made to have longevity. It’s a structured shape yet with soft lines, it straddles the line between casual and dressy. I also love a bag that does double duty with short and long straps, as I can easily use it as a top handle bag, or go handsfree wearing it crossbody style. It’s one of the things I always look for when it comes to bags, as it increases its versatility.
So, what to wear with this bag? This slinky silk slip dress also by Fendi was made for a balmy summer day. The sun was shining in London and this dress seemed the perfect choice for enjoying the day. There’s beautiful movement to this dress and it drapes in a really flattering way (sometimes silk can be very unforgiving!). Also, I crossed the long straps to create more of a statement feature at the back. The draped feature at the front also adds an element of interest, as it ties at the waist and adds another layer to the silhouette of the dress.
I decided to just carry the Fendi theme throughout and went with a pair of metallic wedge heels, also by the brand. I love the ‘F’ heel and and the criscrossing metallic straps. This shoe’s design is a little more fashion forward which makes it the ideal statement piece to work back with an event outfit. Also being a wedge, it’s a comfortable shoe to walk around in earning it bonus points from me.
