What I Wore: Pretty Polished

11th February, 2020

I often think think that you can transform the whole look and feel of a classic silhouette by the little details. Case in point: this Aje suit. The white jacket is of course a great example of tailored blazer but the slightly oversized fit gives it a more relaxed feel, while the unexpected open back feature gives it a hint of drama and modernises an otherwise quite traditional cut. Also I opted to pair the jacket with culottes just to re-energise the suit concept — it gives a slightly softer feel and adds a beautiful feminine touch.

I wanted to add a few bold accessories into the mix and couldn’t go past my new Bottega Veneta slingback pumps. The have a really fashion forward vibe and I found they played really well against the edgy look of the jacket. Wearing all white often requires a hint of colour to avoid it looking flat, so what better shade to wear than a vibrant orange? This Espie Roche bag is always a reliable go-to when I want to add a polished accessory that also dials up the colour. Punctuated by black Miu Miu sunglasses and my fave jewellery, this look is complete.
