As we head into autumn I’m starting to gravitate towards slightly darker, moodier colours. For this reason I am really loving this Rodeo Show outfit as I think the rich red tones on the skirt are perfectly offset by the dramatic feel of the black top.
The combination of elements from the texture of the lace tee to the beautiful blooms on the skirt all work together for a striking look that melds feminine styling with a little bit of edge. I l often like to experiment with clashing textures and prints to really lift an ensemble and give it an eye-catching point of difference. It’s a great way to work two pieces in my closet and really make it stand out in a crowd.
If you’re like me and like to ensure you get maximum wear out of your wardrobe, I’ve found that both these pieces are able to stand on their own. The floral skirt can easily be teamed up with a knit or blouse when the weather starts to cool down and adds a statement element to any look. Equally as versatile is the lace top which I can already see working back with classic slacks such as a wide leg pant or cigarette style pant. It adds just a hint of sexiness to an ensemble without being completely over the top.
I know I’ll wear this look to a work event or a special night out with friends as it’s got just the right vibe. It really has quite a standout effect when the top and skirt are both worn together. And topped with the right bold accessories I think it can quickly become a go-to option for when I’m in the mood for a stylish outfit that’s just a little daring.
