Fashion, What I Wore

What I wore this week

5th October, 2023

Rounding up my looks again, and the trend towards incorporating tailored pieces in a more casual way in my outfit rotation continues. It’s such a wearable way to dress – it’s easy to mix and match everything while still maintaining a polished feel. I’ve gravitated towards a few dressier pieces such as a relaxed blazer and wide leg pants and worked them back with basics such as tees and sneakers to hit that sweet spot between looking put together but also comfortable, while still maintaining a fashion-y edge. Here’s what I wore this week.

PSA: Buy yourself a pair of wide leg black pants. I’ve been wearing these Anna Quan trousers to death. I’m loving the current trend towards wearing tailored pieces in a more casual way – it feels polished and effortless but oh-so comfy. I paired this top with a shoulder pad tee and my shearling Camilla and Marc slides to for a relaxed look with edge.

I wore this as I had a day of just running around doing errands and wanted to be comfortable so it was all about this lightweight Venroy knit and a pair of dark denim jeans. I love a knit with a zipper – it has a preppy feel to it but looks and feels relaxed. Paired with a simple pair of white sneakers and crossbody bag, this is may fave way to dress when I’ve got a full schedule of being out and about.

I was off to a meeting so I decided to dress this look up with a relaxed blazer by Camilla and Marc. I’m loving white jeans at the moment and this wide leg pair by Viktoria and Woods are so versatile – they virtually go with everything. I pulled out a cami (also by Viktoria and Woods) to dress it up a bit while a pair of white sneakers added an unexpected touch.

This suit by Manning Cartell is a real winner. I love how the blazer and pants can easily be worn as separates – versatility for the win! I went with this corset style top to give it a bit of a fashion forward feel, but I could easily work this outfit back with a tee to give it a more relaxed vibe. While it works well in a more dressed up way, the top also plays nicely with jeans.
