What I Wore: Beach to Bar

2nd January, 2018

After a great day out in the sun there’s nothing better than enjoying a refreshing drink afterwards to cool down. However who really wants to head home for a post-beach outfit change? To get around this problem, I’m all about looks that can easily transition from the sand to cocktails without missing a beat. The crop top I’m wearing in this instance is actually a bikini top believe it or not. When paired with a colourful ruffled skirt it can easily work as a bar-appropriate outfit, especially when I change my footwear to a pair of elegant slides or sandals. A lightweight top in a similar colour family acts as both a styling accoutrement and a cover up if it gets a bit cooler in the evening. A pair of coloured sunglasses add an element of fun to the overall look and a contrasting pop of colour. In Australia, it’s almost compulsory to have a beach to bar look up your sleeve and I think I’ve found a definite go-to this summer.
