Matchfashion.com recently interviewed me about ‘My city’ to find out my top places to see in Sydney and Melbourne as well as some of my favourite fashion looks of the season. Here are a few of my top picks. Click HERE for the full interview.
My Morning ritual:
‘Every morning I get my coffee from Balmoral Boatshed (balmoralboatshed.com.au). It’s down at Balmoral beach, so the surroundings are just stunning – the perfect way to start your day.’
Bookshop:
‘The last books I probably bought were baby books, but if I’m looking for something special, I love Ariel Booksellers (arielbooks.com.au). If I get the chance to escape for a weekend I make sure I stop at Berkelouw in Bowral, Sydney (berkelouw.com.au). It’s got a great café/restaurant, and you sit around the open fire with cheese and a glass of wine. When I’m in Melbourne, I like Avenue Bookstore in Albert Park, which is surrounded by charming cafés (avenuebookstore.com.au).’
Special memories:
‘Randwick Racecourse, Sydney, holds special memories. Spring Carnival is one of my favourite times of the year: the racing is first class and the fashion is superb. I have fond memories of going to the races since I was a small child. Flemington and the Melbourne Cup Carnival [starts 1 November 2014], too, especially when my mum won the Melbourne Cup last year with Fiorente!’
Tourist attraction:
The Bondi to Bronte walk in Sydney is a must. Stop at Icebergs afterwards for the spectacular view (icebergs.com.au).’
Work it out:
‘I love to go for a run on the beach or I do Pilates. I also love Flow Athletic in Paddington, Sydney, as it has a combination of yoga, strength, spin and personal training all under one roof (flowathletic.com.au).’
Family Time:
‘I love to take my daughter Sophia to Balmoral Beach, Sydney. In my opinion it’s the most beautiful beach in the world. It’s also flat so it’s great for pram walks!’
