I often tend to favour classic looks most days but there are some occasions in which I just feel like dialing up the glamour and embracing a look that’s bold and just a little vivacious. This sequinned top and skirt by Veronika Maine was just calling out to make its debut—it’s such a fun pairing that’s made for occasion dressing. Worn together it’s an outfit that’s definitely got wow factor but it doesn’t have to be relegated to events. Both pieces can easily be pared back by teaming it with more subdued pieces. A blazer worn over the top of the cami or a simple white shirt worn back with the skirt can easily make sequins daytime appropriate.
When your outfit is so striking I think you have to keep accessories to a minimum and let it take centre stage. My favourite black Alaïa heels fit the bill, helping to ground the look yet maintain it’s glam nature. Round Chloe sunglasses add a little punch to this ensemble without being over the top. I think the fact the frames are quite simple and without colour make them the ideal piece to pair with this sequinned set.
