Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Australian Fashion Week 2018 Day 4

16th May, 2018

Today was all about having fun with winter dressing—I wanted to keep warm but have a little fun and give my outfit a few striking twists. Jumpers don’t have to be boring, especially when they come with a ribbed corset panel a la this number by Burberry. The beautiful pattern and mix of colours is just further elevated by the corseting which I think makes the jumper a little sexy. Not a word I’d usually associate with a woollen jumper!

I’m really loving wide leg pants at the moment and thought this navy pair would work really well with the voluminous/nipped in silhouette of the jumper. With such bold colours I wanted to add a patterned element to add some interest and helped break up the look. My leopard print Tabitha Simmons fit the brief perfectly. They add a playful touch and give the outfit a little edge.

To round out my ensemble I opted for a crocodile print clutch, adding a textural feature. I can’t leave the house without sunglasses so a pair of graphic frame Karen Walker sunnies accompanied me today. After a huge week I definitely needed them and when they look this cool then why not?
