What I Wore: Autumnal Tones

21st April, 2020

I did this shoot before isolation, and while I’m definitely holding out hope that I’ll be able to wear this outfit under normal circumstances this season, it’s also the kind of look that’s classic enough to be able to work in the coming years. I’ve found that a great leather skirt is always a good piece to have around, as I can dress it up for work or an event, but I could also pair it with a tee and flats. Meanwhile a metallic long sleeved funnel neck top is the kind of reliable basic that can be worn in myriad ways, and is definitely something I can easily wear while I’m working from home.

I wanted to work within the same colour palette, and decided on pairing this look with block heel Louis Vuitton ankle boots. I’ve always found ankle boots to be a constant in my wardrobe during the cooler months, and I like the fact that the subtle monogram gives it a point of difference without being overwhelming. While they’re not entirely suitable for working from home, I’m looking forward to giving these boots many an outing, hopefully sooner rather than later!
