There’s nothing like revisiting summery looks to have me yearning for warm weather. One of my fave brands when it comes to spring/summer looks is local brand, Bondi Born. I’ve always loved their relaxed, quintessentially Australian aesthetic, but with a polished edge. I’ve always relied on them for resort wear but now, I’m also loving their elevated separates. While most of my summer looks tend to incorporate colour, I gravitated towards this all black look for it’s simplicity and elegance. Also, I think whenever you work with pieces in black, particularly tailored silk slacks and a cami, you’re guaranteed to be able to wear it in so many different ways because of the sheer versatility of anything in that hue.
I wanted to keep this look quite sleek so it was all my go-to Black Bottega heels. As an aside, I always love to highlight whenever a fashion investment has truly paid off and these heels have been just that. While they’re definitely a splurge item, I’ve found that the cost per wear has more than made up for it. I wear them all the time, and they’ve made an appearance everywhere from the races, to Fashion Week and just out to dinner. To cap of this ensemble, I added just a hit of colour with a red Dior bag and cat-eye Poppy Lissiman sunglasses. Both are quite simple in their design, but when paired together, they make for a killer combination, and turn an all black look into something special.
