What I Wore: Colour Code

6th March, 2019

Who says colour has to go into hibernation during the cooler months? This autumn I’m planning to make an effort to incorporate vibrant shades into my outfits. It’s always such a mood lifter when you’re wearing something bold and bright so what better time to do it than when the weather might not be so great.

This is one of the reasons why I really loved this combination of Veronika Maine pieces. The orange jumper worked back with the yellow printed skirt has such a nice energy about it and really lifted me up that day. Jumpers and pleated skirts have been a go-to of mine for awhile and one of the main reasons is due to the fact it’s an easy way to do a polished look. It’s a great combination for those times when I just need an outfit that works but don’t have much time to think about it.

Working with such bright shades, I kept the rest of my look a little more subdued. My fave Balenciaga sock boots have now come out of hibernation again and I still think they’re the perfect black boot to work back with so many different looks. A simple navy Tory Burch bag and gold earrings by The Slow Mode capped off my look, adding a simple finishing touch.
