Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Just the spot

23rd October, 2017

A busy day at work for me often requires an outfit that can easily transition from a meeting to a lunch without missing a beat. This is why I often love to mix a bold, statement item with classic pieces from my wardrobe to create a look that’s versatile yet anything but boring. With this particular look I kept to a monochrome palette but added touches of colour in the form of my candy red Gucci heels and bag to add elements of interest. Having a statement piece incorporated into an outfit is an effective way to make it stand out in a crowd and in this case it’s the spotted skirt. A polka dot print is playful but remains timeless when worked back with a crisp button down shirt. I like to keep my accessories for work quite minimalist so I opted for my white Michel Herbelin watch which pairs seamlessly with the rest of my outfit but adds an element of understated elegance, and more importantly serves the extremely practical function of keeping me on time throughout the day! A pair of sunglasses is a must when I’m running around all day and simple black frames are the ideal option as they’re both stylish and easily wearable with myriad outfits.
