Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: La Bella Vita

18th July, 2023

Taormina in Sicily is a magical place for my family — I’ve holidayed there since I was a kid and it’s where Luke and I got married. I was thrilled to be back there with my family recently to attend my sister-in-law’s wedding which took place at the San Domenico Palace (fun fact: it’s where they shot season two of The White Lotus) and it called for an event look that was fun, bold and bright. So, I went all out when it came to colour and wore this sunshine yellow Rebecca Vallance one shoulder dress. The colour perfectly suited the joy we were all feeling on the day! I liked the column style silhouette which was simple and elegant, but the oversized ruffle detail added a playful, statement feature which was befitting of the occasion.

Accessorising this look was a chance to go all out and embrace bold accoutrements. I couldn’t resist these rainbow chandelier earrings by House of Emanuele. The colour worked perfectly with the yellow dress, adding striking finishing detail and also providing a fun splash of colour. When it came to an evening bag, I decided to go for some texture and a lot of glitz, with this silver pouch bag by Jimmy Choo.

I always like keeping my event looks as they always bring back so many happy memories, and I think this outfit is no exception. A colour statement, some texture and glam touches made for a great ensemble to celebrate such a joyous occasion.
