Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Orange County

5th June, 2021

Neutrals are a constant part of my wardrobe every day of the week, but sometimes, you just have to go big and bold and embrace a vibrant hit of colour. Enter this Miu Miu dress via one of my fave luxury retailers, Cettire. The site has quickly become a fave as not only do they stock my fave brands, but they have some other smaller labels which have some really interesting pieces. It was during one fateful online shopping trip, I spotted this splash of orange and knew immediately it was something that I needed.

This dress has personality to spare, but also has an elegance to it which balances out the entire look. When wearing a such a bold hue as orange, I think it’s important to have some elements which are pared back and classic, and the shift style silhouette of this dress is something that I wear often for those two reasons. I also love the cut-out and the scalloped hem, finished by the sweet black waist bow. While it still allows colour to take centre stage, those finishing touches make a great supporting act.

Whenever I’m embracing boldness in my outfit, I may a point of keeping the rest of my look quite simple to avoid it looking too overwhelming. So I couldn’t look past my black Bottega Veneta heels. They have an understated simplicity, married with a modern vibe and they were the ideal shoe to pair with such a showstopping look.

      Hi Helena,
Of course. It’s a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch. Hope that helps. :)
