Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Pink It Over

6th December, 2022

I’m a huge fan of dresses but one trend I’m really loving is the ribbed shirt dress. It’s a super easy outfit option plus you can dress it up or down. Anna Quan in particular has been doing some really great options, with this pastel pink style one of my current faves. I have been loving pink hues in everything of late, and this light hue is just perfect for this time of year. I’ve found the ribbed texture to be really flattering, particularly in a maxi which can sometimes swamp a petite frame like mine. I wore this to an event with some dressy accessories but this could also be dressed down for a casual day with a quick change in shoes.

I’ve always really liked the colour combination of black and pink, so opted for accoutrements in black to complement the dress. This Prada bucket bag has been such a great investment buy as I’ve been able to wear it with myriad outfits, plus it’s just the right size to be able to fit all my essentials, but not overly cumbersome looking. My black Bottega Veneta heels were the final addition to this look and felt it really worked against the pastel of the dress. Another great shoe buy as I’ve been wearing them to death! There’s a simplicity to this dress I really love and it’s definitely one outfit formula I’ll be embracing again and again.
