What I Wore: Spot On

29th October, 2019

If there’s one print that’s an eternal classic it’s the polka dot. This mini dress by Saint Laurent is the kind of piece that will live on in your closet and be worn multiple times, in numerous ways and still look fresh. I love the simple design, and the addition of the pussy bow blouse adds an elegant touch. Add in the fact it’s black and white and it further guarantees its longevity.

The dress had a slightly Parisian vibe to it so I went with the theme and decided on a leather beret for my headwear. I feel you don’t always have to strictly stick to a hat for the races, it’s fun to try a few other interpretations of a headpiece, just to mix it up a bit. In keeping with the monochrome theme I wore simple black heels and the ultimate finishing detail: a feathered bag. The Loeffler Randall bag is fun personified. The black feathers and circular shape work together for a playful touch that simply also adds a bit of theatre to this look.
