What I Wore: The Everest

18th October, 2020

I was trackside again this weekend, this time for the world’s richest turf race, The Everest. On reporting duties for 7 Racing, I wanted to embrace something soft and feminine and this look by Fendi ticked all the boxes.

I loved the silhouette of the fitted top with peplum and the cinched in waist is a flattering detail. The padded shoulders also give it a statement feature while simultaneously giving the outfit a little edge. The matching skirt gave the ensemble continuity and the clean lines added to the polished feel of this look.

Accessories are always so important at the races and in this instance I wanted to work with the pink hue of the top and skirt so opted for a bag and headband in the same colour family. The textured headband with ruching added a playful, yet elegant touch. I also went for a top handle bag with a woven texture to complement the rest of my look. While the final finishing flourish, were some truly stunning jewels by Chaumet. The earrings, bracelet and ring, all worked together to give my outfit the sparkle that completed it.
