Fashion, What I Wore

What I wore this week

14th April, 2022

School holidays mixed with work has resulted in a rather eclectic mix of outfits this week. Over the last few days, the sun has peeked through which means I embraced a few summery pieces before it truly is time to put them into winter hibernation. I think I’m still somewhat in denial that winter is just around the corner given summer this year felt like I blinked and missed it so I’m embracing as many fun dresses and warm weather silhouettes as I can. Having reviewed this week’s outfits I can also see that there are definitely a few that are standing out as firm faves because I do gravitate towards them whenever the opportunity presents itself (I’m looking at you Gul Hurgel dress and Viktoria and Woods pants). So, here’s what I wore this week…

Every time I look at this dress it brings a smile to my face. The oh-so sweet heart print and explosion of pink is all kinds of playful and I adore the off-the-shoulder neckline. I paired this with a simple wicker basket bag and minimalist heels for the most feminine of outfits, but without being too saccharine.

I don’t know about you but I am a fan of matching sets for exercise. I find whenever I have a cute outfit to work out in I all of a sudden find myself with an extra burst of energy to actually get out there and get moving. I like the earthy tone of this set by Year of Ours and am a fan of the ribbed texture. It makes it supremely comfy but adds a fashion twist.

This dress by Camilla and Marc is a few seasons ago but I still turn to it as it remains one of my favourite dresses. The cold shoulder neckline gives it a little extra personality and it works great with an up ‘do. I think the colour is also really easy to wear to a variety of different occasions and settings so it ticks the versatility box. I added a nude heel and a laser cut bucket bag by Ralph Laurent to finish the ensemble.

I’ve worn this Viktoria and Woods top and pants separately and together and still love them both. These pants are a great style to wear casually and more dressed up and as it’s a crisp white, it always looks ultra put-together. The cornflower blue halter tap has been in constant rotation over the past few months, and I’ve found I’m able to wear it with both jeans and trousers equally as well. It also goes with shorts and a skirt making it the ultimate wardrobe slashie!
