Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Winter Pairing

23rd May, 2019

If there’s one thing I love it’s outfits that are versatile and wearable. This look by Veronica Maine definitely ticks both boxes. It’s got a polished vibe and both pieces can easily be worn back with other items in my wardrobe when I don’t want to wear them as a set. Also the rich burgundy shade is just made for winter.

Being able to work a look for day and night is also really important to me. I need to know that I can wear something to the office then quickly add a few accessories or change my shoes and it’s event appropriate. The classic pleated skirt and boatneck top work well together creating a sophisticated silhouette that’s easily adaptable depending on what I’m doing.

With such a beautiful hue to work with I wanted to keep my shoe choice quite minimalist so opted for these simple Tony Bianco heels. I’ve found translucent straps are really quite effective in being able to work seamlessly with any look as they’re so pared back, plus I find they also help elongate the legs which is a huge plus. I’m really into natural textures when it comes to my accessories of late and this straw top handle bag adds a light unexpected feature to my ensemble.
